Die '''International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education''' (kurz IGPME) ist eine internationale Gruppe von Mathematikpädagogen und -wissenschaftlern, die sich jährlich zu der Konferenz [[PME]] zusammenfinden. Die IGPME wurde 1976 auf dem [[ICME|International Congress on Mathematics Education]] (ICME3) in Karlsruhe etabliert.
==Ziele==
Die IGPME erklärt für ihre Arbeit folgende Ziele:
* Voranbringen internationaler Kontakte und Austausche wissenschaftlicher Information im Bereich der Mathematikbildung
* Voranbringen und Beleben der interdisziplinären Forschung zum obigen Ziel
* Förderung eines tieferen und korrekteren Verständnis der Psychologie des Mathematiklehrens und -lernens <ref>http://www.igpme.org/index.php</ref>.
